Summit Hill is pleased to announce that one of co-founders, Kent Strand, has rejoined the firm. Kent has 20 years of experience in Strategic Market Development, Product/Innovation Strategy and Operational Implementation of Strategy. He specializes in developing and applying market- and customer-driven strategies in both start-up and mature environments. Kent has an accomplished record of identifying and addressing critical business challenges ranging from increasing adoption rates of new products to global markets and sales/channel optimization to addressing new low-cost competitors, commoditization of offerings and changing customer needs.

Kent co-founded Summit Hill Consulting in 2001 to assist clients in market engagement and operational strategy formation and implementation. Clients include outsourcing, manufacturing, professional services and software companies in a variety of industries.

Prior to founding Summit Hill, Kent founded and was COO of a 30-person consulting firm and VP/GM of $120 million Business Unit in a large global manufacturing company. Kent takes a flexible, collaborative approach with his clients based on his mix of consulting and general management experience. Kent served as Vice President of Global Marketing & Business Development and Vice President of Product Management & Development for NASDAQ-traded corporations. He’s also held management positions with large global software/services and manufacturing companies.

Mr. Strand holds a BA degree in Economics from Saint Olaf College. He is well versed in global business and has expatriate experience in both the Middle East and Europe, as well as business experience in Asia.
